The three primary KCI businesses are:
Active Healing Solutions™ — Includes the KCI proprietary V.A.C.® Therapy System (Vacuum Assisted Closure Therapy), which has been clinically demonstrated to promote wound healing through unique mechanisms of action, while helping to reduce the overall cost of treating patients with complex and difficult-to-heal wounds.
Therapeutic Support Systems — Includes specialised hospital beds, mattress replacement systems and overlays designed to deal with pulmonary complications associated with immobility, to reduce skin breakdown and assist carers in handling heavy patients, so as to preserve their dignity and ensure the safety of both parties.
Regenerative Medicine — Represented by LifeCell, a KCI company, the industry leader in tissue regeneration, LifeCell develops and markets tissue repair products for use in reconstructive surgical procedures.
