Wound Management

KCI’s V.A.C.^® Therapy and many of our Wound Care surfaces are indicated to help treat and manage a wide variety of wound types and conditions.

Open Abdomen

A technique, also known as laparostomy, in which the fascia is left open intentionally to avoid elevation of intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) and where surgical re-exploration is desirable. Temporary abdominal closure (TAC) is achieved using a dressing or technology intended to protect the exposed viscera.

Incision Management

Incisions can carry complication risks. Therefore, there is a sense of urgency associated with the early management of incisions at risk of post-operative complications.

Skin Management & Wound Prevention

Pressure ulcers present a significant challenge for clinicians, resulting in increased morbidity, mortality and the overall cost of patient care. KCI offers multiple therapies and technologies designed to protect the patients' skin.

Bariatric Management

Morbid obesity is dangerously excessive body weight, which can significantly increase the risk of obesity-related co-morbidities. Morbid obesity is defined as being 100 lbs. or more over ideal body weight or having a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or higher.
